Refuse Collection

Due to the adverse weather refuse collections have been temporarily suspended, the alternative arrangements for residents are as follows:

A) If your service has not been provided, please return your wheeled bin to it's usual storage point and re-present on the next scheduled collection date for that type of bin, i.e. recyclate bin, residual refuse bin.

B) On the next scheduled collection date for the same type of bin, additional crews will be operating to remove excess material at that time, provided it is suitably presented for collection, thus preventing street littering or foraging.

C) Only appropriate material presented for recycling collections, can be uplifted by those crews, as the loads would become contaminated otherwise.

D) Every effort shall be made to keep the Household Waste Recycling Centres operating throughout this period. These sites are available for any refuse or recycling material you may wish to dispose of in the meantime.

E) Supplies of refuse sacks are also available at three of Waste Management Services' Depots detailed below. These however shall be limited to 2 per household.

F) FOR THE SOUTH AREA ONLY, i.e. those routes on residual waste collection this week, residents can utilise their BROWN BIN for general residual waste storage, and can present this as a ONE OFF, in addition to their RESIDUAL BIN, for collection at the next residual cycle. It would be helpful however if the use of this option could be limited where possible, as we would hope to keep the additional bins down to a minimum in the recovery phase that week.
